I found out in this interview what he means and what he was saying. I was very enlightened... I thank him on behalf of the culture!

We also learnt that Clips is now known as Charlie Chips. I think it works well for him.

Smack seems like a nice guy

Also I enjoy Chris' interviews and videos more than a lot of the actual battles, great work

The evolution of Smack's beard has been so gradual that we often take for granted just how glorious it has become. I think this is a mistake, shit is so top tier

Well even though 2015 wasn't that bad anymore, battling got pretty stale for a little while with everyone trying to follow the same formula (luckily the B2B3 and the 7BW cards seem pretty amazing, and hopefully this is the direction we're heading towards again, BO5, WD5 and some of the DF USA cards we're already a good start).

So with everyone trying their hardest to sound like each other and people not appreaciating individual and unique styles that much anymore, a lot of the battles just got pretty boring for me.

But Chris has the ability to get interesting opinions and insight out of just about everyone. And he gets to interview them when they are not putting on their on-stage persona, so you get to see more of the real person behind the character. So even people whose battles I'm not entertained by, can still be really interesting during the interviews. I've watched a lot of interviews from people whose battles I would never watch, and they've still all been great. I don't planning on watching even half of the SM5 battles, but I've already watched the interviews of Smack and Beasley covering the event. But then again, I'm probably going to watch almost every single battle from WD5, but haven't watched that many interviews from the event.

Basically the interviews just showcase the individuality of the battlers and the people associated with the culture better than most of the actual battles. At least for now still, I'm really looking forward to B2B3 and how it turns out, potential GOAT event.
