just got home from the event. All in all it was a success. Shout out Aspect, Mic Phenom and Vokab. I enjoyed working my peoples.

There were a bunch of chokes today, but honestly I expected that. I am from Seattle and been in the battle scene for years obvious for those that have seen my videos stemming from the earlyyyyy GT days and into the KOTD days. But as I was saying, I had not heard a most of these guys on the flyer and they were all for the most part from this area.

there were some highs and lows. But The main event Fredo vs Sun Tzu was DOPE as FUCK!! This battle is for sure a great showing from both of them. One of them had their best performance I have ever seen and the other gave the same Caliber performance.
They showed why they were the main event and why they both have made a name for themselves over the years.

I hope all the new guys at the event paid attention on how to perform and stay on your A game.

Thats all for now, if you have specific questions, just ask.

Fuck man...we didn't even get to chop it up....

You had a real good performance. Glad no battles were judged though. Aspect hit it on the head "Let the internet decide". No need to waste time.

Two battles didn't go down but the other 8 did.

Here is my recap:

Fredo vs Sun Tzu: WOW. Best battle I've seen in a long time. Fredo came with it and so did Sun Tzu. His second round might have been the best I've ever seen from him and it was INSANE. I edged it to Fredo giving him the first and third. Both had great Seattle references. Sun Tzu opened up...."This is my 16th battle, and I went into different towns with judging home fans and now I finally get to spit in front of the fans at home/ that's like playing in the nfl and getting your first 15 games on the road". Ill scheme. Fredo hit in his third. Insane on both parts. Check out the interview on rapgrid.com. They will have it up.

Shout out to Dave as well from Rapgrid.

Hipnosis vs Stuey Newton-Real good battle. Both came with it. The crowd was kind of sleeping because at this point we were 4 battles in a row so I was in the back and some of my female friends were loud and I had to calm them down. Good bars and a solid battle.

Me vs Emery-I think this was the second best battle on the card. Emery came with it. There is a reason he was 5-0 in ABL. Dude has projection and serious bars and today he finally got a chance to showcase on a real card and he delivered. His first round he hit me with lines about my career like "how have you been in battling 5 years and you started in kotd then went to ground zero, its like you're knocking on the ground door and on the ground floor" or something. I've never heard anyone hit me with those bars. We both had flips too. I had a bar in the third though that might have won the crowd over and I went second but no losers here. Solid battle. Debatable.

Dan K vs Lefty 2 Gunz-Dan K is a beast. I felt Lefty didn't project well enough plus he slipped.

Wronzy vs Blasphem E-Blasphem-E had some good bars but they didn't hit. Different crowd. Wronzy hit him with comedy bars and got more reaction. I thought Blas had a better performance in his Stevie P battle but the long waits at the border could have thrown him off.

D-Fly vs King Hush Hush-Two newer people I've seen once or twice. I hope they continue to work and grow. Both real nice fellas.

Heretic vs Kamyu-Kamyu had a solid performance. Very impressed for a first battle. I think him vs Emery would be a great battle in a future event.

Overall, crowd size was around 100. Venue was great. Shout out to Necar Lounge for letting us have our first event. Crowd reacted to dope lines and was respectful. Day event helped. I've been to Vancouver numerous times and I can honestly say this is a way better crowd.

To my brother Mic Phenom, he was the glue of this shit. He really made this happen. He deserves big props for this. Shout out to Mike D, Sykull and of course Aspect One who we couldn't have even had this event without. Very successful day. Now I'm fucking mentally drained. I need to rest. Have a 10k in the am.

Shout out to PJ Sumroc too AKA Action Sumroc and Emery and all the ABL cats. Real humble dudes. No fucking divas at all.

@PJ Sumroc I saw you and meant to introduce myself then got caught up in other shit, my bad man. I was hoping to get you involved on our RapGrid twitter and managing the interviews after, but turns out Im the one that didnt manage time very well today.

Here are my takeaways:

-The event was run great, no complaints.. Since the area doesnt have many battle rap events I expected some problems but as far as I could tell there weren't any, which is an indication that the guys running the show had their shit together.

-The guys in this area are hungry. It was obvious in their demeanor before the battle and how anxious/excited they were for a chance on KOTD channel. They came off to me as dudes who want to be battle rappers on KOTD and were working toward it. I didnt know the Tacoma league (Aliance Battle League) was so active, they have an event every month, which had me second guessing the local dudes and thought we had a chance at a sleeper kind of event.

-Then I lost track of the number of slip-up/chokes and decided Im pretty much breaking even.

-You cant judge an Emery by the cover.

-Fredo vs Tzu was the shit on both sides. Turned the energy in the building on its head. The only down side of that battle was the event ending afterwards.. I wish the crowd had that kind of energy throughout the rest of the event.

-You'll win me over with Seattle sports references every single time.

On my battle: I got hit with a 3 hour wait at the border. Since I was driving solo, that took a LOT of energy out of me. Wasn't happy with my performance, although I still stand by my bars. Shout outs to Wronzy, he did his thing, came with some great jokes and performed well.

Sun Tzu and Fredo both killed it. Definitely battle of the night. Really dope bars.

Shout outs to Vokab and Emery as well, second best battle of the night. Emery went really personal on Vokab's lack of progression, and Vokab had a solid mix of material. Great battle.

Agreed in full. And it was mutual. The city was buzzing proper. Everyone was respectful and social. An overall positive vibe loomed throughout the duration of the event.

While on the subject, I received several nods of respect/handshakes/props from attendees and battlers after my performance. If you are reading and were one of those uplifting souls , I thank you for your support and recognition. It is a secure feeling being commended for my effort and a confirmation of the success a concerted effort can produce. I hope to bring more in the near future.

Respect

I missed @UncleMyu battle and got there during someone choking which was awkward to walk into.

I saw some familiar faces from my hometown that I didn't know were into battles which was cool considering this was the first Seattle event in a long time, made it seem needed to solidify a prominent scene.

The local heroes @vokab206 and Sun Tzu had the two best battles of the evening. I had @Emery winning that battle. He came with a 'I'm a undefeated rookie battling a vet that hasn't progressed' angle that I've never heard used against vokab. Both Fredo and Sun Tzu were funny as hell. Bars too of course, none of which I remember. The event ended immediately after and I walked away thinking 'damn that was a good ass battle'.

Everyone was great and the event flowed smoothly. @PJ Sumroc it was cool meeting you and your girl, bro, see you at the next one.

Again, great event fellas. Some of y'all showed up and did what you were supposed to do!

I didn't get a chance to meet to many folks from on here. Next time come say whats up.

I was the one with the maroon crewneck sweat shirt and black leather hat Co-hosting with Aspect and Mic Phenom for the whole time.

Didn't use the name Coldcat at the event haha, been a while since I have used it.
