Rapgrid and Drect Present: Hollow Da Don Behind the Battles

For anyone interested:

http://www.rapgrid.com/behind-the-ba...ap-documentary

Its just over an hour long, with Hollow and others talking about his battle rap career and goes through all his battles from Freestyle Friday through his URL performances (prior to Surf). We're selling access to the video for $2.99.

I didnt have much to do with the project myself, but the final product blew me away. I'm fairly confident that you all will enjoy it as well. It doesn't come off as an interview with Q&A, but more of a conversation with Hollow and a few others about his performances, circumstances surrounding each battle, preparation and outcomes, etc.

Thanks for posting the trailer.
I think that actually illustrates the point, that he shares a lot of insight into things we'll otherwise never hear about, including the nobodies he battled during his time in jail, and that is the kind of conversation he has with the viewers in the entire video across all his battles.

I believe in the power of the consumer, and won't ever try to convince people to pay. Drect did add this piece to his blog post about the money:

Quote:
As with all of our exclusive videos, this documentary will eventually be free, but the $2.99 price tag is split between the battle emcee, the Rap Grid site, and production costs.
Rapgrid will use the 2.99 to pay for the paypal fees and pay back the costs for filming, editing etc., with the remainder going directly to Hollow. If you DO decide to support and send the 2.99, it is directly affecting how much we're able to do these types of things in the future, and also help us get more support from other artists.

You are NOT, however, lining the pockets of some Starbucks executive who sold your cities NBA team, for example.
